Voice of Secretary
In the year 2058 of the Vikram Samvat calendar, an organization named Shri Manjushree Seva Samiti was registered at the Kathmandu District Administration Office with the aim of social service. Later, in 2061 BS, the organization expanded its scope and started operating transportation services along with its social service activities under the revised name of Swyambhu Manjushree Seva Samiti. Despite the long-standing internal conflicts in the country, the organization maintained its services continuously and successfully supported the national movement of 2062/063, involving all its affiliated entrepreneurs, employees, workers, and their families.
Afterward, the organization resumed its business operations and has been consistent in its work since then. Following the proposal passed during the SAARC Summit held in Kathmandu in 2014 to operate the Nepal-India friendship bus service, the organization took on the responsibility and initiated the operation of personal buses within six months, starting from June 2013, and transformed into a company by including all stakeholders (entrepreneurs) in the process. Since 2014, including the operation of all air-conditioned buses, the organization has been a member of the Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs Association.
In 2016, with the acquisition of the new model 1618 chassis by TATA, the organization has been operating buses of that model, following the decisions and directives of the Government of Nepal. It has been functioning under the registered name of Swyambhu Manjushree Yatayat Pr. Ltd., providing transportation services on a continuous basis along the Kathmandu-Delhi, Banaras-Patna, Bodhgaya, and Janakpur routes. Considering the time and circumstances, the organization has focused on ensuring quality service for passengers and has purchased higher-level buses to expand its services as part of its ongoing development plan.
